Groove oriented "Electric and Acoustic"guitar stylings in the spirit of (Duane Allman, Eric Clapton, Robben Ford and Eric Johnson). Intensely up-lifting and straight to the soul... Music that transcends a message of peace***

Jimmy Dormire is a guitarist, singer-songwriter originally from Hartland,MI., a small town just North of Ann Arbor, having re-located to the Nashville area by way of Southern Florida in 1990. Eclecticism has always been Jimmy's aim within his playing, to give the audience something deeply soulful thus moving them with an unforgettable experience. He is a progressive stylist deeply rooted in the Blues, Southern Rock and Jazz idioms. The heartcore of his style is immersed with an artistic montage of electric and acoustic guitar textures that blend a unique deepness of style in the spirit of (Duane Allman, B.B. King, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Robben Ford, Eric Johnson, Pat Martino, Tony Rice, John Mclaughlin and John Coltrane).

Being raised in such a wonderful musical environment from "Motown to Rock to Motor City Jazz", Jimmy was very inspired by my surroundings. Relocating to the Nashville,TN., area in 1990 by way of Southern Florida prompted an intense career move for Jimmy as a sideman. Having toured quite extensively as the "lead guitarist" for "Grammy nominated" Atlantic recording artist's "CONFEDERATE RAILROAD", an intense schedule of road work involved a 14 year journey and tremendous opportunity to play to crowd's in excess of 100,000 people and to millions throughout the world. The most exhilarating moments were the jams with The Charlie Daniels Band, Marshall Tucker Band, Little Feat, 38 Special, Atlanta Rhythm Section and the legendary guitarist "Dickey Betts from the "Allman Brothers Band". Sharing the stage with legendary artist's such as (Merle Haggard, George Jones and Johnny Cash) along with contemporary artist's such as (Montgomery Gentry, Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, Brooks and Dunn, Tim McGraw, Vince Gill, Ricky Skaggs, Alison Krauss and Union Station) etc., injected wisdom in the form of paying dues.
Jimmy has come full circle to "SPEAK HIS OWN TRUTH" as a guitarist with a purpose... With such diverse influences Jimmy will always pay homage to the blues as the heart of his playing. A deep sense of spiritually within the compositional side has also sculpted his sound... Musical roots that breathe with deep emotion...

Within our band "bridge2soul" we strive to touch people as deeply as we can with our presentation of this music. Our philosophy within the group being (to build a musical "bridge to each others soul" and onto the audience) thus leaving them with a heartfelt "message of peace". As musicians we feed off this energy between "player and listener" as the "universal language" the whole world understands.

To take this project to the world, here in the U.S. and abroad, Japan and Europe. We intend to work very hard and do as many dates as humanly possible!!!

The vision for this album all came together in 2006 when I began to blend an entire concept together like a painting or sculpture. The opening piece "The Burning Sky" begins with a haunting blues intro leading into a "Shakti" (Indian) like rhythmic groove, a musical prayer for Mother Earth. "Freedom Train" is an anthem for freedom, leaving a bad place for the good. "Notions Bag"is meant to be musical medicine for the people of New Orleans. "As above As below" is an offering for Mother Earth as if heaven were here on earth, to honor her and respect her precious beauty. "Aishitemasu" is Japanese for I love you with a subliminal message of "all you need is love", this piece was composed looking out over the beautiful mystical city of Kyoto,Japan. "Sorrow's End" is a song of refuge, giving someone a safe place to land. "Waiting to Begin" is about a deep longing to be near someone special. "Peace Merchants" is an anthem for peace, peace amongst nations, people and within families. "The Infinite Line" is a very special piece for my Mom and all those good Mom's out there that lay down their lives for their children. "Fall down on your knee's" is a gospel blues all about redemption and appreciation of life. "Ashes and the Waterfall" pays homage to our ancestors and fallen veterans that fought for our freedoms...will we ever listen to the voices left behind to "heed the call to war". The last track is a haunting delta blues piece entitled "Premonition", a vision of things to come...In its entirety my purpose was to create a breathing musical sculpture that conveys a "message of peace"***Jimmy
