What do you get when you combine a mastery in composition, percussion, vocal manipulation and audio engineering?

Independent Music Awards 09 winner Jimmy Fontanez, an NYC multi-instrumentalist with Grammy nominated album credits under his belt, has been dubbed 'master percussionist' by Latin music industry peers.

Apart from having performed internationally with Project Troubadour, he has also had the honor of sharing the stage with the infamous Tito Puente as well as Andy Montañez, a well-known salsa vocalist who has acknowledged Jimmy’s vocal prowess.

Jimmy is often featured with the well established NYC latin band, Los Ciegos Del Barrio, critically acclaimed pop/rock NYC songstress Lachi.

Fontanez earned a certificate in Audio Engineering in 1990 from the Institute of Audio Research and has extensive experience with audio recording and engineering. His mastery of percussion, vocal manipulation, composition and audio engineering culminated in the creation of a cappella master pieces such as “Mi Salsa Vocal.”

Mi Salsa Vocal is made up solely of vocal instrumentation with minimal audio processing manipulation
