Bio

Jimmy has been performing since third grade. Well versed on trumpet, guitar, & bass, Jimmy lives to entertain. From performing with the Elston High School band to now setting out to do his own work, Jimmy has always been a performer and entertainer.

In the early 90's Jimmy enlisted in the Army and was a combat medic. Soldiers knew him as "the Singing Doc", as Jimmy would entertain his fellow soldiers during downtime on deployments in Korea and Somalia. During his time in Korea, Jimmy had the opportunity to perform USO shows with Country Legend Johhny Rodriguez. This experience taught Jimmy about performing in the "Concert" setting.

Upon return from Korea, Jimmy was cast as a regular member of the Cherry River Opry in Louisville, Kentucky. Quickly making a name for himself in the Louisville area Jimmy was recruited by Justin Ray and the Sierra Band to play rhythm guitar and travel across Kentucky, performing in the same bars as "The bad boys from Kentucky", Eddie Montgomery & Troy Gentry, now country music's hottest Super Stars.

Jimmy returned home in 1994 and began playing locally, using the name "Jimmy Henrich and Western Haze". He has worked with "The Country Gamblers". He has also sat in with bands, "High Noon", "Showdown", and "Texas Thunder".

In 2001 Jimmy played the at the Tweeter Center in Chicago during the George Strait Country Music Festival, where Brad Paisley, Alan Jackson, Leann Womack , Lonestar and George Strait performed. Jimmy also performed at The Tweeter Center stage between Mark Collie, Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw! In 2003 Jimmy performed with River Road Recording - Artist Rusty Blade. In 2004 he opened a show for Mercury Recording Artist, Billy Currington! Billy's Manager Said "Jimmy is the perfect opening act!"

Jimmy has been featured twice on the Indiana 105 Friday Night Fights. He has also done many other full band appearances for the radio station. With The Dawn Patrol and with Mullet Man - Mike Summers.

In recent news: Jimmy has recently been contacted by a very reputable producer from Nashville regarding recording a new record and being pitched to RCA and Sony as well as Curb Records. Always trying to push for the next level, you never know what's next. Jimmy's crazy stage antics always leave even the most loyal fans wondering what's next. Jimmy's newest recording , "Whiskey,Guitars & Elvis" recently garnered him the opening Act for RCA's Jeff Bates, who said " Jimmy just rocked, the guy had the crowd screaming and partying , just like we like 'em" Jeff's Management team has spoken with Jimmy regarding more opening act spots.

UPDATE 3/4/07: , Jimmy's "Whiskey,Guitars & Elvis" single has reached #1 on the Independent Country Radio charts at Radioindy.com
