Howdy, my name is Jamie Dundon AKA Jimmy James and I am an Irish singer songwriter with a Rock/Blues/Grunge background. If I had to pigeon hole my main influences into a top 3 it would be The Beatles, The Doors and The Pixies, for me personally those 3 acts are the bands that I'd like to think influenced my song writing style the most.
My musical background up to now doesn't exactly make for spectacular reading. I started playing guitar at the age of 19 and quickly started writing songs. I then went on to form a band called Emaf, the band would spend the next 6 years playing music and demoing songs, our biggest downfall was not gigging enough through out that period.
Our finest hour was reaching the final of the Irish O2 battle of the bands in 2004. We had some attention from a local lable called Wet Clay records in which they helped us demo some songs but nothing was to come of it.
Emaf split in 2005 and ever since I have been writing songs and occasionally playing the odd number here and there.
This year I plan on getting back up on the horse and recording an album, I also have my sights on a live tour of Ireland later in the new year.
