Do You WIsh You Had Bought A Pearl Jam EP Fifteen Years Ago?
I do. In fact, I did. And you won't pry it offa me until my surviving kin clean out my place and put it on eBay.
You probably can't go wrong getting a copy of this EP.
This trio is for real. Everything about these songs reminds me that it's possible for a great group to get a break and go big. The songwriting, right down to the guitar riffs, is as good as anything I've heard in about ten years. The vocals work into production in the same way that early Pearl Jam did.
This band is as tight as it can get. Production for an EP is superlative. If you buy this, you not only won't be sorry, you'll be first in line for the full CD release.
My only regret is that while I sound like their press agent, I have exactly nothing to do with them; and for that, I am sincerely regretful. This is the one band I would *love* to be in. They're just that good... I hope they don't end up like Soundgarden. - Reviewer: Billy Shaw

Bio
Jimmy Mitchell and Double Down is a Nashville based trio injecting the energy and aggression of modern rock, with the heart and soul of raw Texas blues.
Blending influences ranging from classic (Steve Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, Allman Brothers) to contemporary (Audio Slave, Nickelback, Velvet Revolver), the band creates a sound that is simultaneously fresh and familiar.
Vocalist/guitarist Jimmy Mitchell has a rock n' roll scream to rival any competition but also the slight quiver in his voice of a life-long soul singer, truly setting him apart.
Bassist John "Coopdawg" Cooper and drummer J.Roxx provide expert bottom end, groove and unforgettable chops, perfectly complementing Mitchell's song craft and explosive guitar work.
The three together form a band able to sing, play, write and perform with both raw, gritty power and indisputable musicality.
