"Jimmy MooN Shoots for the Stars"

Jimmy MooN is a man who puts his love for nature into his music to create celestial moments. “The Moon” starts off with this luminous feel and then gets into the lyrics that draw you in with a scent of allusiveness. Everything is serene but at the same time kind of eerie. It’s a song that takes nature to a new level. Then with “Cloud Station,” the mood of the music is a little more mid-tempo compared to “Moon.” It’s not as drawn out but the vocals remain the same. They have that mystery to them. The music really helps to make this one stand a little taller than its partner in crime. It’s apparent that Jimmy MooN is in touch with nature on a spiritual level and it shows in the music he creates. If you’re one who connects to everything from the earth to the stars, check out Jimmy MooN’s today.

"Week in Pop: Agent Ribbons, Has-Lo, King Dude"

With word of a recent name shortening to Jimmy MooN from Jimmy Moonboots, the Monterey artist has been taking his coastal productions to new analogue beach deck-tek densities while fostering the recent reactivation of the Peninsula's cult duo, The Slowest Ride. "Remember" is the first taste of his recent works, hinting at further foggy roads down Ocean Street and those dim lit Carmel-by-the-Sea beach bonfires that slowly burn after the tourists and locals have gone to bed. - Impose Magazine

MONETEREY MUSICIAN JIMMY MOON TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM

"Lost Encoded Memories" To Be Released September 2014, Followed By Tour

From Monterey, California, United States of America Jimmy MooN is fast making a name for himself on the music circuit of California. Having spent his childhood and youth learning to play any instrument he could get his hands upon, the results are impressive -- and after a stint in The Slowest Ride with long-time collaborator Johnny Aulenta, he's ready to bring his own vision to the world.

Turning his eyes to digitalized, ambient electronic atmospheres, MooN is about to release his latest project, Lost Encoded Memories, a collection of songs composed by MooN in since 2011, due to be released on September 23rd, 2014 through iTunes, Amazon and all other major online music retailers.

"I would describe my music as 'avant pop', though some have described it as lo-fi psychedelic, ambient, hypnogogic- even ethereal!" said MooN, describing the sound that he has become known for. "I feel that as artists, it's our duty to create a unique body of music, while also adding to the collective canvas, so far as music is concerned."

MooN has an extensive collection of live performances under his belt already, having played in many San Francisco venues, including the Lipo Lounge and Sub-Mission, as well as venues local to his native peninsula of Monterey.

MooN has tentative plans for a tour of the west coast of the United States in September, while European fans of MooN will also be able to catch him during a Spring 2015 tour, beginning in Berlin, Germany and ending in Palermo, Sicily.
