Leaving his home in New York he spent several years
traveling and performing around the country and Canada, before landing in
Los Angeles California. He immediately secured a position producing the
music for radio spots for movie trailers (coming attractions) “Star Wars”,
“Jaws” and “The Deer Hunter” were among his favorites. Once he became
familiar with the LA music scene he started producing weekly songwriter
nights at several top local Los Angeles venues including the “World Famous
Palomino” and Jack’s Sugar Shack. From 1994 through 2004 he produced
performing songwriter nights and house concerts throughout L.A. Jimmy also
worked with BMI and SESAC co-producing shows and songwriting events.
He is a passionate live performer who connects instantly with his

In June of 2001 he was appointed VP of Creative Development for Ash Street

several critique sessions for organizations around the country such as NSAI,
The New England Songwriters festival, TAXI road rally and Durango

the country. His experience as both a songwriter and publisher make him a
unique commentator at many music education events. After many years as a
BMI writer Jimmy was signed by SESAC in 2002.

Additionally in January 2003 he was appointed Creative Director of BEAMS
(Breckenridge Educational and Music Seminars).
His main responsibility was teaching a songwriting course to budding writers
as well as seeking out, interviewing and hiring
professional talent to speak and instruct at classes for these seminars.

He co-produced and wrote all the material for his acclaimed CD “On The Brink
Of Disaster”. His song “Stand Tall America” dedicated to the
9/11 tragedy co-written with Gary Baker (“I Swear”/ “I’m Already There”) and
Jerry Williams was featured in the PBS aired documentary film “One Voice/
The Healing Pole” and is the lead song on “The Inspiration New York” CD to
help raise money to rebuild the Twin Towers in New York City.

Currently Jimmy is pitching songs from his personal catalog, in
preproduction mode for his upcoming CD project and is head chef running a
