"Frio Canyon Baptist Church"

Jimmy Pate is a gifted Christian musician, vocalist, and talented song writer who has led our congregation in worship several times over the years. Jimmy grew up in our little community and in the Baptist Church. He is also a fine example of a Christian teacher who has felt God’s call to the music ministry. Therefore, I recommend Jimmy to you for your consideration in your church.
By the way, his grandmother who is a member of our church also recommends him!

Jimmy Pate's ministry is truly a blessing to the body of Christ, and we are proud to say that Jimmy is a liscenced minister through Grace Country Cowboy Church. His heart's desire is to see people come to Jesus, through his songs and ministering from the heart. Jimmy has the style of music that captures ears and draws people to listen, then words inspired of the Holy Spirit flow straight to the heart and tell of Jesus Christ and a better way of life. Jimmy's gift is his passion for life and for music. He writes songs with heart and intelligence. - Jim & Sherry Butler

Bio

Music has always been a part of my life, but it was country music to listen to and sing along with while I worked on the ranches my dad managed. I was always around horses and cows and that lifestyle was a big part of the small Texas town that I grew up in. Just below Kerrville, in the Hill Country of Texas, is my hometown of Leakey. I was in 4-H and FFA, quarterback of the state champion football team, church member (saved at the age of 9), and a pretty good guy. At least, that is what I thought.
After high school and for the next 22 years, I chased worldly prizes while teaching and coaching in Texas schools. I was always looking for that better team or assignment, and moving my family all over the state. I have been sitting on top of that “fence” for all this time. That is until nine years ago, God showed me that I had the talent to sing, and I began to sing in church and FCA meetings at my school. Five years ago, God gave me the desire to learn to play the guitar, and I have continued to sing in churches and FCA meetings at my school.
Now I believe that God has called me to do more. He has molded and shaped lots of things in my life, and He isn’t finished. I believe that He wants me to travel and sing, proclaiming His Grace and salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ to a lost world. I have already been able to sing at the Ft Worth Stock Show for the Cowboy Poets Roundup, at the Abiline Wildfire Victims benefit, on FM 95.9 The Ranch, and in various churches around the state of Texas.
I am a licensed minister through our church, and I am a member of the Christian Country Music Association. My music journey is just beginning, but the message that I have is one for eternity. Jesus Saves! I would love to visit your church or group to sing and to minister.

God Bless,

Jimmy Pate
