"Cowboys For Christ"

Please receicve this as confirmation of character. I have known Jimmy personally and professionally for many years now. Jimmy is an outstanding man of God and is persistent in his pursuit of our Lord. He is constant in his efforts to please God and lead others to the River of Living Water. A man like Jimmy is few and far between. He is honest, understanding, dependable, and reliable, just to name a few. My prayer is, may God continue to be with him and bless all that he puts his hand to.

Your Brother in Christ,
Ted Presley - Ted Presley, Pres/Founder

"Cowboy Church of Ellis Co"

He has a unique voice reminiscent of some of the great folk singers of the 60s. Probably no one in Christian Country music today is more capable of touching the soul than Jimmy Pate when he performs with just his guitar and his voice. A very touching and memorable performance. - Pastor Gary Morgan

"Frio Canyon Baptist church"

Jimmy Pate is a gifted Christian musician, vocalist, and talented song writer who has led our
congregation in worship several times over the years. Jimmy grew up in our little community and
in the Baptist Church. He is also a fine example of a Christian teacher who has felt God’s call to
the music ministry.
- Pastor Jim O'Dell

"Grace Country Cowboy Church"

Jimmy Pates ministry is truly a blessing to the body of Christ. His heart's desire is to see people come to Jesus, through his songs and ministering from the heart. Jimmy has the style of music that captures ears and draws people to listen, then words inspired of the Holy Spirit flow straight to the heart and tell of Jesus Christ and a better way of life. When Jimmy operates in the gifts and callings that God gave to him, that anointing flows out of him. Everywhere that I have seen Jimmy minister, people are drawn to that anointing and thirst for more. He is a man led by the Holy Spirit.
I would recommend his ministry to anyone! - Pastor Jim Butler

Discography

We just finished what I believe is our best album yet. It is titled "Old Ranch House", and I teamed up with a cowboy poet friend of mine to do it. Bill Giles is his name, and he does a great job with the cowboy poetry of the trail drive era. My part was to provide the songs of the same time period. We are really proud of what we ended up with. We hope you like it as well. (Samples to come shortly.)

Bio

I grew up in a small Texas town in the Hill Country, near the Frio River. I was saved at the age of 9, but like many others, through the years I've kept part of my life away from God and to myself. I graduated high school and college and began a teaching / coaching career that lasted for 24 years. I married a wonderful girl in 1984, and we are still married, and have 2 beautiful daughters. For most of my career, you couldn't tell the difference between me and other men who weren't saved. Then in one of the towns we moved to, I met and very special preacher and a family that helped change me. They convinced me that I could sing in church and people wouldn't run out the door to get away. Up until then, I had only sung for the cows on the ranches that my father managed. That was in 1996, and I am still singing. I live in Ft Worth. My family and I will travel anywhere that God sends us. I am a licensed minister, and telling others about the love of God through song is my passion. I grew up on country music of the 60's and 70's, and my songs have some of those influences. I write many of the songs that I sing, but the traditional hymms and a few of the contemporary songs are included in my performances.

The goal of my ministry is to preach the word of God through my music and testimony. Spreading the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ, and Him alone, is the news that everyone should hear. By using a mix of traditional gospel, contemporary songs, and some of my own, God uses my music to touch everyone who hears it.
