Jimmy ROLAND!

Jimmy ROLAND!

BandEDMR&B

Jimmy's music is energetic as well as emotional. To quote Mary Rudy of Southbound Beat Magazine..."This artist will send shivers up and down your spine"! Jimmy's R&B/Pop style has been compared to Luthur Vandross, Lionel Richie and other top artists. He knows how to deliver a song.

Biography

Born on September 14th, in the small town of Taylor, Texas. According to his grandparents, Emma and Anthony White, who raised him through age thirteen years, this Virgo showed signs of being musically inclined from the start.

After high school, he enrolled in college, majoring in Animal Husbandry. Although he still has a great love for animals, he realized that music was the direction in which he should be heading. His musical roots are in Rhythm & Blues (i.e. Vandross, Gaye, Bryson, Osbourne and Warwick), he's had recent accomplishment in the Dance/Electronica genre as well. He is... Jimmy ROLAND!

Lately, Jimmy has been focusing on having his music placed in feature films, television commercials and the many other outlets where music is used in ads or for background purposes. This is not to say that Jimmy is not performing live anymore, as this would be far from the truth. So fans, don't zone out when those commercials breaks interrupt your favorite shows. You just may hear a familiar voice. As of June 22 '10, Jimmy Roland and Dr. Kmer is now affiliated with the Chicago music licensing company, Music Dealers, as their licensing agency.

On April 26, 2010, this artists' latest release entitled "Suspicious Mind" reached the 10 position on the popular Internet Dance radio station iDanceRadio.fm's Top 100 Spin Report. Jimmy teamed up once again with Italian producer-songwriter Dr. Kmer for this collaboration. The duo has also appeared on this spin report once before in January 2009. They had a 1 hit there with "Got To Be Real". Eight months later in September '09, the music video to "Real", made its broadcast premier on the MTV-LOGO Channel's NewNowNext PopLab Series, along with Madonna and others.

Jimmy is no stranger to live performances either. He has shared Main Stage billing at events with names such as Patti LaBelle, The Village People, KC & The Sunshine Band, Jennifer Holiday and Joan Jett & The Black Hearts.

Jimmy began his career by recording demos for various songwriters and producers in the Los Angeles area. His first R&B recording contract was offered by SGP Records in Hollywood, Ca. Fours years later, the signing of another contract took place in Toronto, Ontario-Canada and the Cd, Under The Moonlight, resulted. Included on that Cd is, Jimmy's most popular composition to date, "My Jamaica" (Radio Mix). Jamaica went on to be included in a publishing deal that Jimmy signed with a division of Warner-Chappel music.

For a show that is full of fun and...a show where your participation will indeed generate even greater energy from this entertainer, make your plans to attend a Jimmy ROLAND live performance soon!

Lyrics

Suspicious Mind

Written By: J. Roland (BMI) & P.A. Stocchero (SIAE) (c) 2010

Verse 1:
It's not enough
I give you what you ask for
Is it too much
I bring you roses to the door
You make a fuss
And I don't even know what's wrong
Gotta learn to trust
We're headed for a danger zone

Verse 2:
Each word I say
Gets twisted likea hurricane
"Jealousy is cruel to the grave", they say
You turn away
When I am in a sexy mood
Now everyday, I put up with your attirude

Chorus:
Tell me, what can you give
How can you love
How do you live with a Suspicious Mind

Verse 3:
Each word I say
Gets twisted likea hurricane
"Jealousy is cruel to the grave", they say
You turn away
When I am in a sexy mood
Now everyday, I put up with your attirude

Chorus:
Tell me, what can you give
How can you love
How do you live with a Suspicious Mind
What can you give
How can you love
How do you live with a Suspicious Mind
