Mary Rudy, http://www.muzikreviewz.com

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Every CD player should have this CD in it at all times. It will rock you, soothe you, calm you and grab your heart and soul. Jimmy Roland definitely has the soulful bluesy rockin' R&B vocals to keep your interest. Rolands performance on this cd project is of the utmost highest caliber. I do want to mention that if you ever get a chance to catch Jimmy Roland LIVE please do, you won't be sorry. The overall performance of this cd is flawless with Rolands flowing lead vocal track backed by outstanding female vocals. The intonation is golden. My only criticism, is that the cd only has 6 tracks and I was wanting to hear alot more. This artist will send shivers up and down your spine, with his bluesy vocal, superb lyrics combines with the expert musicianship coming from these tracks. Jimmy Roland deserves all the listening he can get, watch out tho he'll grab ya' hard...... Every one of these tunes deserve a mention in this review, my favorites were: Track 1 'Oh! Ramona'.....Track 2 'My Jamaica'.....Track 4 'Your Love is Mine'...... Track 6 'Broken Hearts'. I honestly believe that Oh! Ramona and Broken Hearts is the ultimate songs on this project. BOTTOM LINE: High Caliber of Talent…..Musicianship that demonstrates the players expertise of the instrument…..Vocals to capture your heart and soul……and messages in each song that all of us can relate to….Visit the Jimmy Roland Website at: http://www.musicla.com/jimmyroland , where you can add this splendid CD to your collection. Bio

Born on the fourteenth day of September and in the small town of Taylor, Texas, it was very obvious that this Virgo child was headed for stardom. At an early age, he would pretend that pot lids were tambourines and table tops, pianos. He comes from a musical family which includes cousin, R&B recording artist Kelly Price. He is an accomplished singer, actor and soon to be author. He is...Jimmy ROLAND

Jimmy is based out of Los Angeles, Ca. He began his professional career while attending college in Los Angeles where he majored in music. He would spend his evenings in the clubs (open mic nights) perfecting his craft. It wasn’t long before offers to record demos began to pour in from various songwriters and producers. It was also during these times when Jimmy was faced with opportunities to work with former members of Three Dog Night, Tony Orlando and Tom Jones’ touring bands. Shortly after this period, Jimmy was introduced to Michael Quick (former CEO of SGP Records in Hollywood, Ca) who offered Jimmy his first recording contract. While waiting for this first project to be completed, Jimmy decided to tackle yet another goal that he had been holding on to for years. Jimmy created, produced and hosted his own cable talk/variety show entitled Givin’ It All To You, which was syndicated.

A few years later, Jimmy received a phone call from the president of a record label headquartered in Toronto, Ontario. Seems that a cassette tape of a Christmas song that Jimmy had recently co-written and made a demo of “You’re My Everyday Holiday”, had worked its way onto the president’s desk. The label so much liked what they heard that the search was on to find Jimmy ROLAND! Soon thereafter, Jimmy was in the skies headed for Toronto where he recorded the disc Under The Moonlight, shot two music videos and did several concerts during his visits to Toronto.

More recently, Jimmy collaborated with his younger brother on a Jazz flavored R&B track entitled I Want To Be loved By You. While in the studio recording, Jimmy thought how great it would be to change just a fraction of the lyrics and do a second version for his fans within the GLBT community. Jimmy did just that and the result is the popular tune that many in the community are now referring to as The Gay Wedding Anthem, “Partners For Life”. Jimmy recently signed a contract with Woobie Bear Music (a Gay owned record label) only for the purpose of having “Partners” included on a soon to be released compilation Cd. The Cd will feature Gay artist from around the world. More info on this cd can be found on jimmy's websites.

As a headliner act, Jimmy has shared billing with Margaret Cho, Patti LaBelle, The Village People and Sheena Easton to name a few. his show is filled with energy and powerful vocals. Jimmy gives his all while on stage and certainly knows how to get an audience up and dancing as he closes with a Disco segment. he enjoys getting his audiences involved.

Following in the footsteps of the many greats before him, it appears that Jimmy ROLAND is trackin’ some of his own.
