Jim Pfeifer

I started playing guitar when I was 12, studied Jazz guitar through my high school years along with playing in classic rock bands. Studied Engineering in college while taking with further studies in music theory and Jazz improvisation along with steady gigging with a variety of bands in the area doing everything from big-band Jazz, to classic rock, to MexTex music. Started doing studio guitar work during my college years which influenced me to start my own home studio and begin composing my own material. I continue to gig actively in the Phoenix area with a popular surf-music Beach Boys tribute act. My main influences include The Beatles, Pat Metheny, Chet Atkins, Brian Setzer,The Shins, and a variety of other artists.
