He Won't Remember

Written By: Jim Sellers

He Won't Remember

He keeps calling his kids the wrong names,
He forgets all his fam’ly’s birthdays,
All directions he just can’t recall,
Can’t remember the 90s at all,
So don’t worry he won’t remember,
The promise you made.

Yes I think that it is a safe bet,
That he's probably going to forget,
That you said you'd be done by today,
But now it's looking more like next May.
Let's just hope that he won't remember,
And play it cool.

(break)

Well I had to give him a ride yes-ter-day,
'Cause he could-n't re-mem-ber where he left his keys,
And we got to the store and we walked down the isle,
And that's when he said he for-got what he needs!

But one thing a-bout him, he has a nice voice,
So I tried to get him to sing this fine song,
Oh, but eve-ry time we got to the refrain,
He just kept get-ting all the words wrong!

So don’t you wor-ry. He won’t re-mem-ber, the prom-ise you made.

All At Once

All At Once

I’d known her for quite a while. Like a road sign on the mile,
Pretended to not have noticed such an an-gel there in my midst.
But one night found I was able to put my cards down on the table.
I told her that I want-ed to be more than just a good friend.

And all at once, she held me close and said the words I longed to hear.
And all at once, I saw the stars, and I could smell the lilacs near.

After that sweet moment my world be-came a bright-er color
Seems like be-fore that moment all my days were so much duller
New love was so exciting as we spent our days together.
Our love grew by the hour. I wished this feeling could last forever.

And all at once, she held me close and said the words I longed to hear.
And all at once, I saw the stars, and I could smell the lilacs near.

From Now On

Written By: Jim Sellers/Lisa Beacom

The wake up call, oh but I am already dressed
Today 's the day my life begins
A change in the black night sky, and birds are awake
A change in me anyone could see

Though I'm ready now I must admit, I hesitate
How will I live now that everything has changed
And from now on I will carry these heavy wings
And hope someday that I learn to fly.

The curtain call, it’s as if I’ve never been here,
It’s clear my world is so diff’rent now.
The footlights glow there for me, lighting my way,
I take the stage and it’s none too soon.

I am ready now, won’t hesitate. Nothing to fear.
I want to live now that everything has changed.
And from now on, I will wear these heavy wings.
I know some day that I’ll learn to fly.
