In the tradition of such noteworthy San Diego Roots Rock bands such as The Paladins, The Beat Farmers The Forbidden Pigs and the Mississippi Mudsharks, JinxKing is laying claim as contenders to the roots rock crown. With the twin guitarists trading rhythm and lead duties, the band rocks hard with authenticity. Influenced by such artists as Freddy King, John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, and Johnny Guitar Watson, the band can play blues with the best of them. But it's the mixture of Rockabilly, Country and Jump blues from such artists as Los Lobos, The Blasters, The Paladins, Gatemouth Brown Link Wray and others that drive the band in fresh directions.
