Lyrics

T-E-A-M

Written By: Jitterbug Theatre Productions

In rule 19 we clearly see there is no I in team
It is clearly spelled T-E-A-M (echo: T-E-A-M)
Moving on to rule 21 you'll see just what I mean
We're greater when we get help from our.... friends

(Chorus)
T-E-A-M, It's where I end and we begin
We can do more when we all pitch in
T-E-A-M, It's the way we work together, friend
And when we work together we all win

When Columbus sailed the ocean blue back in 1492
Without his friends and trusty crew, HE COULD NOT GET THERE
He had to ask for someone's wealth to get the ships and sailor's help
And in the end, Columbus found his T-E-A-M
(Repeat Chorus)

Now our adventure starts right now, I'll lead the way, I'll show you how
But sometimes you'll need to help me out, When I CAN'T GET THERE
Cause everybody needs someone, when they can't do it on their own
And when you're down, who'll lend a hand, (they respond) your T-E-A-M

[Bridge]
When I'm alone..........I'm pretty good
But with a friend...........(add harmony) I'm better still
And with a team (add 2 part harm)....... I can do anything

(Chorus)

Best Friends

Written By: Erin Langley and Kyle Brady

Every clubhouse on the block
Has a fenced-in yard or a dog that barks
That’s why we need a secret knock

To collect our things like superhero cards
To protect our sweets like smores and candy bars
That’s why we need a secret knock

Cause we’re the best friends ruling the backyard, gotta place to call our own
Yeah, we’re the best friends ruling the backyard, hope it goes on and on and on

Everybody needs a place to go
Birds have nests, polar bears have snow
Let’s make a know that we’ll all know

We can stay up late telling knock knock jokes
We can sit and write or watch the flowers grow
Let’s make a knock that we all know

Cause we’re the best friends ruling the backyard, gotta place to call our own
Yeah, we’re the best friends ruling the backyard, hope it goes on and on and on

We may not be superheroes, but we are super friends
We may not have super powers, but we’re buddies best friends til the end

This is How We Write a Song

Written By: Erin Langley and Kyle Brady

This is how we write a song
We find some words or make them up
They don’t have to rhyme at all
Just say what you mean

A little bit of melody
We could add some harmony
A touch of personality
And then we’re rolling

This is how we write a song

For everyone in the world to sing
Everyone in the world to sing
Everyone in the world will sing our song
For everyone in the world to sing
Everyone in the world to sing
Everyone in the world will sing our song

We could write some rock n roll
Give the world our debut show
From Arkansas to Tokyo
We’ll have a good time

We don’t lights, don’t need a stage
We don’t need fortune, don’t need fame
We just want a place to play
And claim our anthem

This is how we write a song

For everyone in the world to sing
Everyone in the world to sing
Everyone in the world will sing our song
For everyone in the world to sing
Everyone in the world to sing
Everyone in the world will sing our song

This is our chance to make a stand
(So keep that rhythm building)
This is our music to create
(Can you hear it?)
We may be young, but we’ve got dreams
(They are calling)
We have a voice to light the way

Chorus (while Lucy sings after one chorus)
There’s a whisper I can feel it
Somewhere in my heart
Can you hear it? Calling my name
I am listening
Deep within me something’s stirring
Telling me to start

This is How We Write A Song
