Love this project! I rate the overall album a 9! I love the freestyles, the concepts, the beats. If his live show is as tight as the album, then he will create what Chicago has been missing! MozDefinite hip hop classic! - DJ MozDefinite

Jitu tha Jugganot-Biography
Jitu “tha Jugganot” Brown is an emcee with a purpose. An accomplished musician, Jitu has four records under his belt and since the early 90s has been a major influence in the rap scene appearing on Rap City, the Box, and Yo! MTV Raps. He’s been recognized numerous times for his contributions to the community and his approach as an artist has changed from rap artist to community organizer.
His appreciation for improving education for future generations is evident in his work as an education organizer for the Kenwood Oakland Community Organization (KOCO). As part of KOCO, Jitu works with the Mid-South Education Association, an advocacy group comprised of teachers, parents, young people, administrators, and local school council members to meet the needs of schools in the community. Furthermore, he is the coordinator of the Umoja Leadership Institute, a leadership development program that has an accredited history of producing young leaders in the Chicago Public School system.
As an educator of African American History at St. Leonard’s Adult High School, he has taken young leaders from the KOCO to the United Nations, the Passamaquoddy Native American reservation in Maine, and the UN Conference on Racism in South Africa.
Seamlessly blending music and education, Jitu has taken his emcee experience and his community outreach work to the studio and produced Jugganot Edutainment. His new album Inspiration is accompanied by a workbook, which gives kids an opportunity to learn while they listen. Featured in Ebony, Truth Magazine, and Urban Mainstream for his work, Jitu does not plan on stopping anytime soon.
“Jitu” is an African name given to him in 1995 meaning, “a giant among men”.
