Jive Coulis

Jive Coulis started in a small apartment in Boulder, CO back in 2004. Three high school mates joined here to create this unique sound; Eric Leadbetter(lead vocals, guitar), Jordan Mack(bass, vocals), and Tyler Hale(drums).
They spent years gigging Denver and all the surrounding area. After all of their hard work and immersion in the prominent scene, they released their first Jive Coulis full length, self-titled album. Shortly after its release, Tyler left the band. Eric and Jordan decided to leave the rockies behind and move onto their veggie oil powered school bus in search of their next phase.
They were travelling through Jackson, WY and met a man named Michael Batdorf. He was putting together a tour from WY towards the west coast called the teton songwriter tour. Eric and Jordan were seeing the opportunity as some kind of fate and jumped on the bill with the three songwriters as a guitarist and bassist a well as percussionists. They played in ID, OR, and CA over 20 shows and really got to stretch their wings as far as learning new styles of music. After the tour winded down, the gents drove the bus to Ashland, OR for a snowboard instructor job opportunity. This is how they came to play with Collin Braley on drumset. Collin went to music school in Iowa for jazz studies and has brought the band an amazing energy. He played in the Midwest bands Hunab, and Lickit ticket. After gigging the rogue valley extensively, the three members released Jive Coulis second full length album "Sauce" in 2012. They have recently finished tracking their third full length album due to release in he fall of 2014. They have toured all over Oregon and Northern California consistently for the last two years, and in 2013 they made their way to the Rockies for a one month tour. This upcoming 2014 summer tour includes such states as; Colorado, South Dakota, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, Montana, and Idaho. Now they are looking to stretch their wings again and share their unique music around the US and the world!
