J.J. Leslie

J.J Leslie is a 7 foot tall, 410 pound comedian who strikes an enormous figure in comedy clubs and stages around Boston and New York City. Behind his size, one finds a disarming and friendly personality coupled with a deviant comedic mind. His act is a personality tour-de-force careening across every genre of standup comedy. He has performed with Steven Wright, Louis CK, Gary Gulman, Mike Birbiglia, Brian Kiley, Julius Sharpe, Andy Blitz, Tony V, DJ Hazard, Eugene Mirman, Todd Barry, and the Walsh Brothers. In New York, J.J. has showcased at the Gotham Comedy Club, and Upright Citizens Brigade. In Boston, J.J. is a regular at the Comedy Studio and The Comedy Connection. J.J. is also a gifted improvisational comedian, and member of the Improv Boston Theater. He has studied film acting at CP Casting with Carolyn Pickman and Bates Wilder, at Boston Casting with Michael Fennimore. He is a graduate of Amherst College, where he received a Bachelors degree in Theater Acting, Directing, and Stage/Lighting Design, and Emerson College where he received a Masters Degree in Entertainment Marketing.
