The best kept secret in music

"Out with the old and in with the N.U.B.Y."

It was something good and N.U.B.Y. for the kids. If there never will be another monthly teen dance held at the VFW for the Portage youth, the 18 and under attendees that saw their first hip hop concert will never forget the show put on by J.Love and his group N.U.B.Y. More than 130 people showed up for the festivities and the show was much much more than we expected. J.Love and company even danced with the kids, gave away autographed CDs to the first 50 that arrived for the 5 p.m. dinner, and hung out the rest of the night with the kids talking about the bad things that alcohol and drugs could do to them. Those kids really enjoyed themselves... - Portage Daily Register

What happens when talent, creativity, charisma, style, and dedication are combined in the world of Rap music? "J.Love"

J.Love (Jason Love) entered the world as a fan of music. As the son of part-time DJ, J.Love was introduced to a variety of music at a very young age and grew up with playing a significant role in his life. With the help of his older brother, he began rapping and beat-boxing in third grade (’89). This newfound hobby would develop and grow into a passion and a goal that became noticeable to his peers around ninth grade (’95). J.Love quickly earned a solid reputation for his numerous freestyles and cafeteria battles that led to High School performances. And since then, there has been no looking back…

In 2003 J.Love officially established himself on the hip-hop scene of Milwaukee. After the death of his father, J.Love created his own record label, “N.U.B.Y. Entertainment”, consisting of family and friends from from High School. N.U.B.Y. Entertainment would then release the “Birth of an Empire” mixtape that summer. Also, that summer, J.Love made a guest appearance on fellow Milwaukee rap artist Stackz’s “Compositions Volume 1” LP. N.U.B.Y. Entertainment would follow their first mixtape with “Business Partners” in 2004. In 2005, J.Love released his first solo mixtape “Flyest of the Fly” and launched an official website, www.nubyworld.com .

2006 hasn’t showed any lack of momentum. J.Love made his radio debut on two of Wisconsin’s largest stations when he was the first artist selected for Milwaukee’s V100.7 FM’s “Heat from the Street” showcase and advanced to the semi-final round in Milwaukee’s Kiss 103.7 FM’s “Kiss Idol” competition. The release of J.Love’s second solo mixtape, “Flyest of the Fly: Volume 2” has also created a buzz in the local music scene that has increased the anticipation of his first debut LP, “A Slim Hustle”, which will be released later this year with a possible DVD documentary.

Not limiting himself to music, J.Love also plans on venturing into the world of fashion with the current development of N.U.B.Y. World Clothing with longtime friend/label-mate Erik Benard.

J.Love is the "New Face" of Mid-West Hip-Hop. This "Star-in-the-Making" brings a unique style with versatile delivery that is sure to captivate all listeners. J.Love is not only the future of Mid-West Hip-Hop, he is the future of rap music PERIOD...
