Bio

Jman Jr. infuses all kinds of genres into his hip hop. He plays nearly a dozen instruments and does crazy things with them onstage, he raps and sings, he's studied music for 20 years....and by the way, he's only 25! His shows feature highlighted performers, positive lyrics, and comedy. Influences come from gospel, rock, funk, and jazz music. If you want to see a crazy performance, then you've come to the right place.

Jman was born in Cleveland, Ohio. He grew up however, in Montgomery, AL. In Montgomery he won numerous awards and set school music records everywhere he went. He also grew up playing music in church, a part of his background that strongly influences his style today. jMAN was known for his strong work ethic and musical drive as he learned to play many instruments before finishing high school.

Later on, he made the big move out to Los Angeles with little money and the classic big dream of success in the music industry. In 2006, jMAN, finished studies at USC with a degree in Music Industry.

PERFORMANCE:
Since finishing school, jMAN jR has been on a tear, traveling the country and performing in middle schools, high schools, colleges, clubs, stadiums and more. Most recently he performed at the NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA, the largest musical products showcase in the United States. His versatile style has also allowed him to share the stage with the world famous Harlem Gospel Choir, international blues legend Linda Hopkins, gospel great Shirley Caesar, Debra Laws of the famous musical Laws family, Motown artists Johnny Britt and LeMarvin, rappers The Game and Soulja Boy, R&B singer Raz B from B2K, and more.

TELEVISION/INTERNET:
jMAN jR gained national recognition as a finalist in the online reality series America's Hot Musician, produced by the American Youth Symphony. jMAN can also be found as the guest bass player in the music video "Shine" with Atlantic Records artist Laura Izibor. jMAN jR is also the theme song producer and music supervisor for the popular online internet drama Fine Church Girls.
