J.M THESKYWALKA aka $JM has been writing and recording music since he was 16 years old. He has had a diverse range of influences since birth. $JM was born in Memphis but has lived in Virginia, Hawaii and currently resides in Chicago. He was first inspired by the rock n’ roll and blues music that Memphis is known for but hip-hop has been a major influence as well. “Cool Hand Luke” is the first single from his upcoming album Kiss The Sky. Rapper, producer and songwriter J.M THESKYWALKA said staying true to himself is what sets him apart from the rest. J.M. is short for his birth name Jeremy McGaha, though the 25 year old was born in Memphis he has also lived in Hawaii,Virgina, and currently resides in Chicago. His sound can be described as fresh,original and unique. " I listened to a lot of Dipset, Kanye West, Master P, and Lil Wayne growing up," J.M. said. Memphis, being a Mecca for rock n' roll and blues music, influenced J.M. so much that he started writing and recording his own songs at the age of 16. J.M. has collaborated with a plethora of R&B and hip-hop artist both in Memphis and Chicago. Overall $JM strives to be a well rounded artist who is "conscious of his content" and his music is a reflection of just that. His much anticipated mix-tape/album Kiss The Sky will be dropping this October!
