Lyrics

time on my hands

Written By: JoAnn Riedl

You said lets wait
time is all we have
you said lets wait
time is in our hands
and then we'll sit out on this crooked porch side watching the sunrise sparkle in our eyes
you said lets wait
time is all we have
you said lets wait
time is in our hands
and then we'll sit back and siphen through our past wondering if I could have ever have taken it back
or if I had the chance
we sit back analyzing thoughts compromises made intercepted airwaves letters words and the phrases left unsaid to you
we drive all the way through the night
wondering if it was worth our time

558 miles

Written By: JoAnn Riedl

I called you on the telephone
missing your eyes your smile
your smell and your tone
the rain is coming down
now it's getting harder to see
nothing seems right anymore
it's getting harder to believe
and we danced close together
cheek to cheek
close together baby it was you
baby it was me
boarded windows and sleepless dreams
the desires that no one sees
the waking hours you spend
waiting for me
and we danced close together
cheek to cheek
close together baby it was you
baby it was me
in a city where I don't belong
i'm 558 miles from my home
and my heart is pumping blood
and in a city somewhere their's someone
in a city somewhere their's someone
and in a city somewhere their's someone I love
and in a city somewhere their's someone I love

Today

Written By: JoAnn Riedl

There are so many things I want to tell
you
the leaves are turning brown this time of year
too many too many people hide behind their shadows
and I was wondering if shadows know how to talk
today is like anyday of the year
today is like anyday of the year
i can hear Dorothy singing in the mornings
and everyday I'm learning a little bit more about all these wars we keep on fighting now
somewhere someone is watching a telli well can you tell me what hav eyou learned lies from the media
today is like anyday of the year
today is like anyday of the year
today is a good day for someone somewhere
today is a good day for someone somewhere
i am waiting for a friend to call
and all I hear is this dial tone
and I am staring out into the dead town
and I was wondering how much longer will you and I be around
is it time to start taking some chances
today is like anyday of the year
today is like anyday of the year
today is a good day for someone somewhere
today is a good day for someone
somewhere
and maybe it's me now
