Man, was I taken aback last Friday when Jocelyn took the stage with her volatile energy that demanded I follow her into her fusion of rock, pop, and blues! It was a knockout musical trip that rendered me completely lost in the moment. I was dripping with sweat by the time my beer hit, and though I needed to take a piss, I simply couldn't tear myself away from the stage. Granted, there wasn't even room for me to make a path (packed show/small dance floor), but I figured, what the hell. Good music is worth a little urinary discomfort... This was my first experience with Jocelyn, but it certainly won't be the last. So much energy, that I think if we all just plugged into her, we could single-handedly wipe out any concern about global-warming. Definitely a beautiful blessing of a woman, who's on the move... You won't believe the soulful power that comes out of that petite body, and neither did radio when they spun her single in 25 countries.
Focus is original material, but choice covers will make appearances from show to show - though, rarely are they rendered like the original recordings.
Influences: The Band, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Eric Clapton, Tool, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Queensryche, Ian Moore, Joe Satriani, Janis Joplin, Melissa Etheridge, and Beth Hart.
Jocelyn's also enjoyed roles in indie films & TV shows, such as, "Sex & the City", "OZ" and "All My Children" - but - as you'll agree when you see her on stage - she a true rock star!
