With an affinity for vintage soul and vocal based chops, Oxnard CA native & SmashTales representative, Jo_Def jukes out beats from a classic sample perspective. Informed equally by beachside environments and cracked concrete hood sidewalks, his sound carries moods that transition from merciless soul to staccato glitch and all the premonitions in between. Hacking into your heart and painting the soundtrack to a night where the stars spin and pulse in near collision. You give in because you have no choice in the matter.
