"Joe Probert 'I Was In Love'"

Joe Probert is stood on the edge of an important milestone.
The songwriter's debut EP emerges on Friday (September 30th), and follows years of work - with the Bristol talent literally building himself up from the streets.
Joe explains:
“The street was really my first ever stage, it was really like my very own music testing ground. It’s where I’d test out the music I’d written and see which tracks got the best public response. I even grew a little busking fan-based where people would arrange to come and see me perform the next time I was on that street corner.”
Ahead of this, the singer has decided to unveil contemplative new gem 'I Was In Love'. Softly hewn, his tender delivery is matched to a remarkably effective, simple arrangement.
Backed by some well shot visuals, 'I Was In Love' is certain to pique your interest. Tune in below. - Clash Magazine

"Joe Probert 'Shake This Fate' Video"

Presenting himself like this “I am 19. I like to shout. I am from Bristol”, Joe Probert unveils the ideal video – shot by his keyboardist Dan Stokes – to accompany his debut single ‘Shake This Fate’, a tasty example of his instantly brilliant and charmingly frank, indie-rock offering.

Speaking of the lead single from his debut EP – out on 30th September via Funnel Music – Joe says: “The street was really my first ever stage, it was really like my very own music testing ground…It’s where I’d test out the music I’d written and see which tracks got the best public response. I even grew a little busking fan-based where people would arrange to come and see me perform the next time I was on that street corner.” - FM Fame Magazine

Bio

At just 19-years-old, Joe Probert is the epitome of ‘aspiring talent’.  Vocally endowed with a raw, gritty voice that delves with a purposeful bee-line to your soul, instantly grappling at every emotion with its granular honesty, Joe Probert’s sound is gripping and distinctly unique.  Lyrically mature beyond his years, Joe has the ability to fuse youth with wisdom and shrink- wrap it neatly within melodies that are rapidly gaining attention throughout the industry.  ‘Shake This Fate’ delivers a generous slice of indie/rock at it’s absolute best, weaving Joe’s unique vocals over perfectly formed drums and guitar riffs.  A dominant uplifting melodic tale of life, which has the ability to traverse radio and the live stage beautifully.

Joe Probert was born to make music. By the tender age of 14 he was regularly busking on the streets of his home-town of Bristol, using his profits to build a DIY studio/shed in the back garden, which was later to become the birthplace of his musical musings. But it was whilst at Bristol’s Access To Music (Ed Sheeran/Rita Ora attended the same course) that Joe got his big break. Gavin Thorpe, Funnel Music Director, was course manager at the college at that time, instantly recognised Joe’s unique talent, describing his voice as something beyond anything that he’s ever heard before.  Gavin fast-tracked Joe into a signing with newly launched Funnel Music*, where Joe has been ‘incubated’ with the best mentors, producers and professionals that the industry has to offer.

The EP, ’Shake This Fate’ is released on Funnel Music on September 30th. This release is already receiving a great response including the recently released video of ‘I Was In Love’ which was premiered by Class Magazine.
