This is what you'd get if James Taylor ran into John Hiatt at a David Gray concert...

Biography

Born in Kingston NY, Joe Brack lived throughout the northeastern US while growing up and is now proud to call New York City home. Joe’s music is a mix of folk, pop, rock and alternative with keen melodies and thought provoking lyrics and has been described as a modern day James Taylor.

In addition to working on his third record due out in mid-2007, Joe recently took time out to compose the original score for the independent film “Play It By Ear”.

Lyrics

Superhero

Written By: Joe Brack

Please unbreak my heart
It won't work this way
Unable to talk
And I don't want to think about how

You still look the same
Safe here in the memories I save

Wish you were here
If I was a superhero then
The skies would clear and You'd be here, wish you were here

Consequences fade
Silence to the tears surrender
How long till I break
And how long will the heart remember

You still look the same
Always in the memories I save

Wish you were here
If I was a superhero then
The skies would clear and you'd be here, wish you were here

How long and how far and just tell me how all this will go till I am strong where I belong

Wish you were here
If I was a superhero then
The skies would clear and you'd be here
Wish you were here

Learn To Fly

Written By: Joe Brack

I can feel that one look in your eyes though you try you can't deny your best disguise so now look at me afraid can barely breathe

With an empty heart afraid to be fill this empty heart and rescue me

Give me hope the will and wind to learn to fly to my love to my wonder and surprise and if I'm weak and need to know that I'm alive I know you will get me by

So here underneath this faded paper moon all I ever was and am I give to you and I'm sorry that it had to take so long

For a man to understand where he belongs and I finally understand where I belong

You give me hope the will and wind to learn to fly to my love to my wonder and surprise and if I'm weak and need to know that I'm alive I know you will get me by

Now all I ask of you have mercy on this fool can we walk awhile I really miss your smile

You give me hope the will and wind to learn to fly to my love to my wonder and surprise and if I'm weak and need to know that I'm alive I know you will get me by

So here underneath this faded paper moon all I ever was and am I give to you

Wishing Well

Written By: Joe Brack

Tattered old pictures, pictures of golden brown
Honor the innocence, and bring back the days of old
On your battle ground
Diamonds and roses, and one for the alibi
Can you give me an answer, how could you forget
me, such a sad reply

No more religion by the wishing well
There’s no redemption far as I can tell
Down the wishing well
No more confessions by the wishing well
You got all my money far as I can tell
I filled the wishing well

Your preoccupation, breathless and crucified by your intoxication’s
Will you know how I tried
Will you wonder why

No more religion by the wishing well
There’s no redemption far as I can tell
Down the wishing well
No more confessions by the wishing well
You got all my money far as I can tell
I filled the wishing well

I pray for the grace of God
To carry you far away from this
Forgive her my father, for she
Knows not what she did and I will pay for this

No more religion by the wishing well
There’s no redemption far as I can tell
Down the wishing well
No more confessions by the wishing well
You got all my money far as I can tell
I filled the wishing well
