Joe Carson

Joe Carson

I've learned from bands like Led Zeppelin, Radiohead, Nirvana and from songwriters like Ryan Adams, Bob Dylan, and Jeff Buckley what feels good about music when I play and what gives me the chills. I try to do that with my music and I'm definitely happy to flirt with any genre. Soul is important.

Joe Carson has been performing as a singer and guitarist in Boston for the past 5 years. He's played to packed rooms all over the city whether with his original music or with his cover show. Joe has performed and sat in with many local bands and musicians in many different scenes including Tom Groleau (Sweep the Leg/Mudhens/The Flutie Band), Stu Lee (Sweep The Leg), Never in Vegas, Jimmy's Down, Entrain as well as fronting headlining Tribute Bands for Nirvana, Dave Matthews Band, Radiohead, and Jeff Buckley. Joe has built a following as a solo acoustic performer whether delivering a high energy one man show or a soulful showcase for a listening crowd. Joe's draw sometimes seems to be his 4 octave vocal range and his ability to imitate almost all the singers he covers with an eerie accuracy. Also see

Set List

I have a couple albums worth of original material and roughly 1000 cover songs on tap from working as a musician full time in Boston for the past 5 years. I've done interactive shows for listening crowds and high energy shows with no breaks between songs. The set list depends on the venue and the crowd. I do all sorts of cover songs from classic rock, soul, 80s, 90s, modern rock and pop to indie artists.
