Biography

Joe Cook has become a true favorite on the LA comedy scene. His comedic style is highly relatable, exploring such topics as college survival, absurd dating and how to find the funny in everyday life. An Ohio native, he moved to LA in 2000 and immersed himself in writing, acting and stand-up. He wrote, costarred with Rebecca Field and executive produced the comedy short “Middle Management”. He wrote, directed, and executive produced the comedy short “Class Act” which was featured as a “staff pick” on FunnyorDie.com and he currently has scripts in multiple festivals around the U.S. When he’s not writing, he’s performing stand-up. He’s performed just about everywhere in LA including the Ice House, HAHA Comedy Club, Hollywood Improv, Comedy Store, and Laugh Factory just to name a few. He’s shared the stage with the likes of Chris Tucker and Chris D’Elia. “I knew I was really on to something when Dick Van Dyke shook my hand and told me I was funny.” Joe is now interested in touring the college circuit. “I was a Mathematics / Economics major in college. Ironically, my college years were spent broke, barely surviving but filled with all sorts of comedic situations…it was truly the best and the worst time of my life”.
