Joe Cross
Biography
Joseph R. Cross III (Joe Cross) is the first born child to Joseph Cross Jr. and Darlene Cross. He spent the early part of his childhood in Camden, New Jersey till later his family moved to Pennsauken, New Jersey which is a suburb of Camden. The Cross Family history is very strong in the Lord, and is especially strong in Gospel Music. Joe’s father is a Life Long Drummer in the church, His Grandmother Lottie Cross who is no longer with us, sang with the Tri State Mass Choir, and His Uncle Teddy Cross sings with the Legendary Gospel Keynotes.
Joe fully gave his life to the Lord at the age 15, and was Baptized at Camden Bible Tabernacle where became a member. Music came naturally for him as he began to embrace the hip-hop culture with a passion, but with that came a love for the things of the world. Joe began to record secular hip-hop and landed a distribution deal with Pay Up Entertainment/EMI . His song “Promises” landed him on a soundtrack hosted by hip-hop legend Ice-T. But soon after felt the Lord tugging him to bring his talents to the church.
With a renewed relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and all of the know how of a crafty vet in the Rap Game, Joe Cross is taking Christian Hip-Hop in a direction in which it has never been. Using witty punch lines that rival the likes of artist such as Jay-Z, and Kanye West, mixed with the message of Pastors like Creflo Dollar, and T.D. Jakes Joe Cross has branded his own style of Christian music.
Joe Cross is sold out for The Christ, and with the direction of Pastor Kevin C. Brown of The Perfecting Church The Holy Spirit is Flourishing in and throughout his life. Now he is living his daily life by his motto “Pray Hard Stay Hard”.
