Bio

“So... who is this guy?”

Well… I’m a singer/songwriter working out of Winnipeg, Canada who also works extensively as a sideman/session player.

I sang in church choir as a little kid, and at around age ten graduated from playing with straws on tabletops and windowsills to seriously picking up playing the drums. My fascination with all things musical soon led to learning how to play guitar as well. I played guitar and sang in club bands through my late teens, and soon started landing successive gigs with more and more diverse and talented artists while working on my playing, singing and songwriting.

I've recorded and/or played with McMaster and James (BMG/Vik), Sue Medley (Universal), Doc Walker (CCMA award winners), Tal Bachman, Mitch Dorge (of Crash Test Dummies), J.P. Hoe, Cat Jahnke, and Jodi King and a bunch of other great artists. It’s those types of opportunities that have taken me all across Canada and into the U.S. playing in front of thousands of people, making some great friends along the way.

Over the years, I’ve always written music and fronted my own bands while simultaneously supporting other artists in their original projects. That interest in other artists continues, but developing my own music is now my primary focus. My songwriting has earned my band slots at New Music West festivals, a Manitoba Film and Sound grant, and was reviewed favorably by Grammy winning producer Tony Brown. I enjoy making original music that’s both ethereal and urban all at once. My songs revolve around more traditional pop sounds, mixed with my love for rock, soul, carribean music, and Texas blues. Drawn from a pool of influence similar to that of songwriters like Doyle Bramhall II, John Mayer, and Jason Falkner.

Currently I’m in pre-production for my first solo album.
