Bio

Have you ever seen a bird in a cage with the door wide open, and wondered why he doesn’t just get up and fly away? Freedom is waiting, beckoning; but for whatever reason the bird just can’t seem to step off his perch, spread those wings, and enjoy the life available to him on the outside. Maybe he’s scared, maybe he thinks he’d rather stay inside because its all he’s ever seen, or maybe he doesn’t even know that the door is open. Maybe he’s clueless that there is something beyond imagination, something bigger than himself, something with hope, excitement, and a future – Many of us find ourselves in that same place, sitting in our own cages with real freedom waiting for us. If only we could learn to leave our perch, dive in faith, and embrace all that a relationship with Jesus Christ has to offer us… This is the driving theme behind the songs in Joe Guerra’s latest studio project “Free to Fly”.

Joe is a passionate young artist with a drive to use music to encourage, inspire, and connect people in worship with their creator. Over the past several years Joe has been blessed to entertain and minister in all kinds of settings across the country. Concerts, both as a solo artist and with his band, are engaging with rich story telling and packed with truthful melodies and catchy rhythms. As a worship leader, Joe has been a part of many camps, conferences, missions’ trips, youth groups, and churches.

When not on the road sharing God’s love through music, Joe is an active part of the ministry at the EDGE Urban Fellowship in Grand Rapids, MI. He enjoys going for walks around the neighborhood, spending time investing in the lives of youth, and lots of orange juice ?
