Starting with poetry at age 13, Joeker has always used words to express needs for change, movement and pushing forward. Born in Joliet, IL and raised in South Side Chicago Joeker overcame the complications of a complex upbringing and motivated himself to seek a purpose.
Artists that have influenced his sound and lyrical flow are Eminem, Hopsin, Lil Wayne, Dr Dre, Michael Jackson and John Lennon. Experimentation across genres comes through in his library of songs with a strong hip hop presence. Conventional learning had little impact on Joeker growing up, instead he learned from listening, widening his vocabulary from listening to the poignant lyrics of artists like Eminem and N.W.A., trying to emulate their authenticity and passion in music and life.
