Discography

I made an album in 2006 called Country Glue, and the single from that album is called Big Dreams. This is an origianal tune, and it is being played often in my home state of Wyoming. It has also been played in Colorado. During the later part of 2006 I recorded twenty-two acoustic songs, and nine of these songs I put together as a short order acoustic CD called Soul, Rhythms, and Blue. Most of these songs have been played on a local artist radio show in Wyoming.

Bio

Hi, my name is Joe Kissack. I currently live in Nashville, TN, but I am originally from Rozet, Wyoming. I am a songwriter, singer and guitar player. I have always wrote songs out of a neccessity to describe a feeling that I have, or to comfort feelings of pain, loss, and regret. My music is a combination of the music I like to listen to. It is a mix of country, blues, folk and rock. The instrumentation of the band is bass, drums, lead guitar, rhythm guitar, vocals, and sometimes a keyboard. Because of my recent move to Nashville, I am forming a new band, and I am in the process of finding new gigs in the Nashville area. My influences are Bob Seger, Bob Dylan, Freddie King, Lynyrd Skynyrd. Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Amos Lee, Marshal Tucker Band, and many more.

If you would like to know more about me, I have created a timeline to show how I started in music and what I have done since I started playing and writing.

My music career started at a young age. I remember when I was about seven years old, I started to write short stories and poems. Not long after this I started creating vocal melodies with lyrics. When I was seventeen, I got my first guitar, and began to put my lyrics to music. A couple months after I started playing guitar, I joined a band and I have been playing and writing music ever since.
After I graduated high school, I attended Casper College in Casper, WY. I studied classical guitar and music performance. During this time, I also played with my band and continued with my singing and song writing. I studied music in Casper for three years and graduated with a associates in guitar performance and music peformance. After Casper, I attended the University of Wyoming, and studied guitar, and also picked up a few more instruments. I studied the cello for three semesters, and I bought a bass guitar and began learning how to play. I was at the University for three years, and during the third year, I started taking jazz piano lessons. In the fall of 2005, I moved to Denver, CO where I continued my jazz piano studies and began to write a lot more music. In February, 2006 I started to record my first album, which is titled "Country Glue." In August 2006, my album was complete, and being dissatisfied with living in Denver, I moved back to Wyoming. In July of 2007, I moved to Nashville to pursue my singing and songwriting, and hopefully a record deal some day.
