The song opens with really simplistic, slick and mellow guitar riff, Ansett then comes in with his vocals, which are so natural – no false vibrato, no put on accent, no forced notes. This man just sings in a seamless and casual sounding manner throughout. The plucked bass is to die for. For me, this is one of the most relaxing tunes I have heard in 2019 so far, no exaggeration. -
Based in Denver and currently unsigned, Joel Ansett delivers a perfect blend of R&B with Folk-Pop. Drawing influences from One Republic to Bill Withers, Joel is back with latest single “Slow Down”. Best way to describe the tune would have to be that Joel is simply not slowing down anytime soon. Timeless and somewhat delicate, the latest single is the first single from his upcoming album. -
Bio
Ansett moved to Denver, Colorado in 2014 and started playing every open mic he could find. He has since found fans all over the country with more than 30 million streams online, songs placed in Marvel’s “The Punisher” and Netflix's "Love is Blind", and the title of “songwriter to watch” from The Huffington Post. The songs combine folk and R&B, and beyond the genre, Artist Review wrote: “This music is soul therapy.”
