Joel Izquierdo

I've been writing songs and composing/producing music since the 1980's. I also write, record, and perform my own music. I play all or most of the instruments in my music when recording. I'm also an elementary music teacher in my home town in Laredo, Texas. Back in the 80's, My brother Jose F. Izquierdo and I wrote over 150 songs using mostly synths and Drum machines. We also performed live on the battle of the bands in which we won 1st place in a songwriting competition. Although my brother is no longer making music, I continue making and performing my music. I also played in local rock and country bands for audiences of over 10,000 on festivals and have opened up for top country artist with the band Diamondback. My ambition is to share my music and make a difference on this tormented World. My songs are about love, peace, our government, and basically the news.
