Bio
Joe and Lee met while performing in separate productions of The Who's Tommy, written by Pete Townshend. Lee was on Broadway and Joe was in the European Premiere. They traded a few melodies and harmonies... and realized there was a musical connection and sound worth exploring.
Joe and Lee are singer/songwriters with rock and blues roots. Their music and lyrics are very personal and emotional -- and their songs are performed with gripping melodies and tight, soaring harmonies. Their live performances combine elements of stark intensity with exciting layering of guitars, harmonica and vocals. Their influences are many: Tom Waits, Bruce Springsteen, Peter Gabriel, The Who, Lyle Lovett, Buddy Holly, U2, Robert Johnson, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, etc.
