"Joel Woollen"

Current Single: "I'll Never Live That Way Again"

Feeling a bit camera shy

Joel Woollen is an artist with deep roots in southern gospel music. As a child, Joel grew up listening to music and attending concerts by such groups as The Rambos, The Hinsons, and The Happy Goodman Family. Being the son of a Pentecostal preacher and pastor, he was singing with his mother and siblings in their church as well as other churches and camp meetings at a very young age. Joel also began playing the drums at the age of four and was playing in his dad's church by the time he was five. Over the years, he has been involved in music ministry and has been a part of several gospel singing groups. He and his wife, Marietta have two boys, Price who is four-years-old and Isaac who is three.

In 1999, Joel heard and answered the call of the Lord to pursue a ministry as a solist and gospel songwriter. Since that time, he has been writing songs and ministering in churches as well as other various gospel music events. Joel Woollen's debut self-titled album was released in January of 2004. Nine of the ten songs on the project were penned by Joel himself. The first single frome the project, "I'll Never Live That Way Again" is being played on southern gospel radio nation-wide and is receiving a great response.

Joel Woollen's goal and mission is to spread the message of Jesus Christ through gospel music and to see lives touched and changed through music ministry.
