Great voice with great songs.

Biography

Joe McAdam is the lead singer of the London band The New York Fund. He finds himself on his first solo tour travelling the country playing all kinds of shows with just himself and his Hank Williams guitar. Along the road he’s inviting new musicians from each town to join him in playing every night he can till 2010.

Joe McAdam has all the soulful rock’n’roll ingredients that have always been and will always be. He displays the cocky passion and gentle poetry that only a Glaswegian who thinks he should have grown up in the American South could have.

As well as indulging in the obligatory rock pastimes of drinking, bowling and beard-growing, Joe fronted The New York Fund spending the last 2 years priming their public at a plethora of gigs around the UK (headlining, and supporting Ash, The Hold Steady, Ed Harcourt, M.Ward, Modest Mouse, OK Go, and Captain). Their debut release the “ Guns EP” was released to great acclaim in March , gaining the band new fans in the likes of Kaiser Chiefs and Dermot O’Leary who had them in session twice for Radio 2. They wowed audiences at a dozen festivals last summer, including Glastonbury, T in the Park, Guilfest and the V Festival.
