Bio
Music has always been a part of my life for as long as i can remember. My dad was mad into his music and i guess in many ways it rubbed of. I played around with most music styles eventually working mostly on acoustic music which came most naturally. I began to first start to write music in the year 2000 but at the time really didnt have the time to fully pursue it. After a short period years later of playing small gigs with a duo back in Dublin i moved to live in Adelaide and started immediately to throw myself into the Adelaide music scene. Adelaide gets a lot of bad press for its admittedly very quiet band and music scene but i have found since i have been here that it is a small but thriving population of musicians with great talent. I became whats known affectionately in the business as an ""open mic slut. If their was an open mic or a place to perform your music i was there. I met some facinating people many of whom i have since collaberated with. In 2006 i joined the Nereeda band playing a whole new brand of funk rock. It was an exciting time for the band playing regular shows at the Govener Hindmarsh, Jade monkey and releasing our first EP to a sold out "jive". it was a great experience playing with a group of such talented musicians. In early 2008 i left the band to pursue my solo career. I immeadeately started recording my first solo EP. I was lucky enough to meet Manny Kechayas a drummer from melbourne who brought a whole new feel to the music. The eP is due for release in early 2009. I was brought up with a mix of 70s music and my dads love for jazz. I have always kept an open mind to all types of music from metal, classical to techno! I think in an era were so much music is produced to death and often sounds the same that it is time to experiment! i am striving to achieve a sound genuinely mine something new and exciting.
2009 will be a big year with more CD releases and tours planned.
