Still working on that hot first release.

Music has enveloped Joe since he was a child as he was raised on Elvis, KISS, The Beatles and Chuck Berry. First formal vocal training was at age 18 with Joan Harris, a former colleague of Tony Bennett. A self-taught guitar and harmonica player, some of Joe's earliest shows were performing in Washington Square Park in New York City. Joe says, "My first day, I made enough money to buy a popsicle."

Joe has played in a bunch of clubs, coffee houses and parking lots in this fine country of ours. Two very notable venues were Eddie's Attic in Decatur, Georgia and Buddy Guy's Legends Blues Club in Chicago, IL. Eddie's was made famous by The Indigo Girls, Cheryl Crow, and John Mayer. Legends has hosted Eric Clapton, BB King and of course, Buddy Guy Himself.

Joe's main influences are Elvis, Willie Nelson, Lyle Lovett, Del Amitri and KISS.
Joe has participated in The Weekender Original Songwriter's Contest at Jim McCarthy's Tavern on the Hill in Wilkes-Barre, PA in 2003 and 2004. Other northeast PA clubs Joe has played include The River Street Jazz Cafe, Fuse, and Kildare's Irish Pub.

As a songwriter, Joe has had 2 songs appear in the nationally released feature film, Dunsmore and is a member of ASCAP.

Joe recently performed in the Steamtown Original Music Showcase which featured over 90 acts in Scranton, PA. Joe's lively 30 minute set was well-received.

Three songs to note; "Miles Away" was written by Joe Ohrin and Craig Kiell, vocals by Hanz,"Cindi", written by Joe Ohrin and Peter Spirer, vocals by Hanz and "Travellin' Man" written by Joe Ohrin and Peter Spirer, vocals by Hanz.

Joe also enjoys a successful career as a professional stand-up comedian having worked with Chris Rock, Jay Leno and Weird Al Yankovic. For more info on Joe's comedy, check out

Joe has been combining his great music with his off-the wall humor to form an excellent act for colleges and coffeehouses. Among the college campuses Joe has performed at are Penn State University and King's College in Wilkes-Barre, PA.
Joe also performs as "Almost John Lennon" a John Lennon Tribute Show. See the demo here:
