Lyrics

The Jake Song

Written By: Joe Ohrin

Verse 1:
Before I met you, I thought I had a good life.
I'd play my guitar for my cute little wife.
You fell to my arms straight from Heaven above,
Now you're the sweet baby boy that we love.

(Chorus) Keep all your money, and keep all your fame,
I've got a legacy to carry my name.
I know without you, I'd not be the same,
Now I will never be lonely again.

Verse 2
I'll be there to guide you, through all that you do,
And we'll fly a kite, kick a football or two.
When you skin your knees, I'll hug you, should you cry,
Whatever question you have, I'll tell you why.

Chorus 2
So, keep all your money, and keep all your fame,
I've got a legacy to carry my name.
I know without you, I'd not be the same,
Now I will never be lonely again.

(Bridge)
Now I don't mind when you cry,
it means you're strong and alive, like the first time I met you.
So lay your head on my heart, and fall asleep in my arms like you like to do.

Verse 3
I'll watch you grow up and You'll see me grow old,
We'll laugh at the jokes and the stories we've told.
You'll become a man and be off on your way,
But remember my son, you're never too big to play.

Chorus 3
I can't give you money, I don't wish you fame.
I pray for your own son, to carry your name.
You'll grow up together, and he'll be your best friend.
And you'll never be lonely again, my friend,
no you'll never be lonely again.

Just For Now

Written By: Joe Ohrin

Verse 1: We've been cryin, and we've been tryin,
To make somethin' work from so far away.
But all of these tears after all of these years, don't make it no better, not much left to say.

Chorus: Just for now, we'll take a break.
Just for now, we'll see where love takes us.
Just for now, we'll just be friends.
then we'll see how it all ends.

Verse 2: You're still my angel, no doubt about that.
And you're always with me, wherever I'm at.
But right now the pain has pulled us apart, but it will never pull you out of my heart.

Chrous: Just for now, we'll take a break.
Just for now, we'll see where love takes us.
Just for now, we'll just be friends.
then we'll see how it all ends.

Verse 3: My tears flow faster than the ink from this pen,
'cause I'm not sure when I'll see you again.
It's hard to think that you're out of my life.
Maybe some day you can still be my wife.

Chorus: Just for now, we'll take a break.
Just for now, we'll see where love takes us.
Just for now, we'll just be friends.
then we'll see how it all ends.

Bridge: And when it ends, I hope it finds me, lying in your arms.
Because I hate, singing songs like this.
When we're together we never cry and we're never torn apart.
And I can't wait, to give you your next kiss.

Verse 4: I think of our future, and how I'll propose.
And how we'll make angels with our kids in the snow.
But until I find the right thing to do, I pray those angels watch over you.

Chorus: Just for now, we'll take a break.
Just for now, we'll see where love takes us.
Just for now, we'll just be friends.
then we'll see how it all ends.

..I hope when it ends, ...we're so much more than friends...baby just you and me..how we were meant to be........

"Lucky Raindrops"

Written By: Joe Ohrin

She called me today, she said, "I'm going away", I knew there was something wrong.

She said, "I like you much, I sometimes need your touch, but I just can't go on.

Yea it was fun for awhile, and you made me smile, can't say that we didn't try.

But as I wait for my train, I'm standing here in the rain, I just called to tell you goodbye."

Chorus:
Lucky raindrops, 'cause they're falling on you
Lucky raindrops, I'm feeling so blue.
I'd give up my name, to be a second of rain, lucky raindrops, I miss you.

Verse 2

I felt so alone soon as she hung up the phone, like I lost everything that I had.

And as that water poured down, on our own little town, she left and she left me sad.

Well it's eight weeks gone by, since you made me cry, a broken bone would have healed by now.

But you broke my heart, yes I'm torn apart, guess I'll cry my own rain somehow

Chorus:
Lucky Raindrops, 'cause they're falling on you
Lucky raindrops, I'm feeling so blue.
I'd give up my name, to be a second of rain, lucky raindrops, I miss you.

Lucky Raindrops, ooohhhh
Lucky Raindrops, yeaaahhhh
I'd give up my name, to be a second of rain, Lucky Raindrops, I love you.
