Bio

Joseph Stan Chavira grew up with an appreciation for music. His father taught him to play drums at the early age of seven, and nick named him “Stan the Man” after jazz composer Stan Kenton. Early on Joey turned a dinner spoon into a microphone and set his dream in motion by singing love songs to his family. It wasn’t long before Joey developed a passion for sports. He played baseball, and basketball, he broke records on the track team, won weight lifting contests, and was nick named “Joey the Jet” by his football coaches for his speed as a running back.

In 7th grade Joey was threatened by an opposing school gang after winning a basketball game. This experience became a defining moment in Joe’s life. The next week he enrolled in a local Karate school where he learned the incredible disciplines of Martial Arts. With focus, hard work, determination and a healthy competitive spirit Joe earned the coveted title of second degree black belt and went on to win a State Championship.

Joe’s entrepreneurial persona directed him in creating and marketing a group of animated cartoon characters that has become the seed of increasing profits for many large corporations, including Pepsi, McDonalds, The NFL Raiders and Hollywood’s Universal Studios. Joe’s production, licensing, and marketing company Two Twos Club develops campaigns, strategies, and new innovative ideas. His company is in California, Maine, Canada and has it’s own weekly exercise fitness TV show for families. His Two Toes cartoon became a published comic strip in the LA paper, seated after Walt Disney, and appeared on the front cover of the TV Guide. He even wrote and composed the theme song for The Kenny Loggin’s Celebrity Special. His boyhood dreams have become a reality exchanging the dinner spoon for a “live” microphone.

Purpose
Joe’s love for music started when he was seven and so did his appreciation for life. It was at this tender age that Joe’s family of eight was, in a fatal freeway accident. He sat between two sisters who died. He in fact was the only member of his family unharmed. That experience became the defining moment of Joe’s life. From that point on Joe has viewed obstacles as opportunities and trials as treasures. His many accomplishments are a testimony of self drive, focus and an unstoppable determination to be all he was created to be. His heart felt emotions are written in a book of poems simply entitled “Joseph - The Dreamer”. He is deeply aware his life was spared for a purpose and is determined to use his gifts and talents to touch as many lives as possible. Joe sees the great potential in every human being and strives to draw out their passion. On any given day he can be found teaching a child how to draw, strum a guitar or even the disciplines of Martial Arts.
Charities
Joe believes that giving back is what life is all about. His contributions to charities are enormous. His television performances with the Kenny Loggin’s Telethon helped to raise over a half a million dollars for Unity Shoppe; an organization which helps feed and cloth low income families and children without parents. He has campaigned with D.A.R.E to warn kids of the dangers of drugs and has designed and illustrated a cartoon book for the United Way. He in conjunction with McDonald’s and the LA Times produced an event that promoted awareness for the LA Library and his visits to hospitals with his Two Toes characters have brought smiles to many children. Joe was even given a proclamation by the mayor for his countless contributions to charity.

Destiny
Joe’s success is attributed to a passion for life, an enormous amount of positive energy and a deep desire to make a difference. His dream was ignited by singing love songs to a courageous family hit by tragedy. That dream has blazed into a powerful flame that is strongly felt by all who hear his strong vocals and heart felt messages of inspiration and love. Joe’s life is a tribute to the support of his family, the power of faith, the love of God and the force of destiny. In Joe’s own words, “Everyday is a blessing. It is a gift we are given. Live life to the fullest and be thankful”
