Bio

Grammy nominated Guitarist Joe Taylor finds labels and categories other than “musician” and “music” to be ill-fitting.
As a New York session guitarist and touring artist, Joe has shared stage and studio with musicians from all sixteen points of the compass.

Some of these include such diverse artists and producers as Donna Summer, Angel Romero, Al B. Sure!, Keith Diamond, Nile Rodgers, Dave Koz, The Roches, Ahmet Ertugen, Karla DeVito, Eye to Eye, Soozie Tyrell, Kenny Aronoff, Steve Churchyard, Randall Bramblett, Steve Holley, James Galway, Buddy Miller, Emmylou Harris, Canadian Brass, Luico Hopper, Tony “Thunder” Smith and many, many others.
As a staff producer at RCA Victor, Joe had both great success with his solo releases and as the creator of the ambient/trance series Oracle.

His numerous instrumental records have garnered top-five chart positions in Billboard, Radio & Records, Cashbox and Gavin Report, and his new cd, ACCIDENTAL SUGAR, is currently in rotation at NAC Radio Stations across the country.

On the road these days, Joe’s dynamic live show is enhanced by the presence of drummer Steve Holley, a veteran of Joe Cocker and Paul McCartney and Wings, and bassist Paul Ossola , a veteran of Saturday Night Live, Levon Helm and Chaka Kahn, as well as bassist Mike Frost (Jesse Colin Young, The Gypsy Kings).

Joe presently splits his time between New York City and Bennetts Point, SC.
