Bio
Joey Sucio is more than your typical Hip-hop artist. He is an artist
who uses his music and art to express himself and help others
express themselves by embracing their differences. Growing up
in Little Puerto Rico of the Bronx, NY, Joel ‘Joey Sucio’ Morales was
always a quiet kid. No one understood or related to him because
they thought he was different. However, Joey Sucio found a
passion for music and art by watching his environment. First, he
found the love for art and began doing graffiti. Then, he picked up
on rapping from one of his friends and became a battle rapper.
Once he started showcasing his talents that’s when people
started to notice him and understand him through his rhymes
and art.
Before he was named Joey Sucio, he started rapping under the
name Skemrock. Skemrock is the more serious side of Joey,
where he would share his stories of his life and the streets.
However, everyone wanted to see the fun and playful side of
Joey, which is where he created his alter ego, Joey Sucio. Those
around him says his personality is vibrant, animated and
creative when he his Joey Sucio, which shows in his music and
art.
Now Joey Sucio pursues music professionally and expanded his
love for art outside of graffiti by sculpting, designing sneakers,
and clothing. Everything you hear Joey Sucio talk about in his
music or express in his art are things he has really gone through.
His motto is “You Live It, You Watch It”. If you hear him rapping
about partying every day, he is most definitely living that life.
Currently, Joey Sucio has a single out called “Off Da Rocker”,
which is off his upcoming debut album “The White Wall”.
