That’s how musician Joey Brown describes his style of music.
Hailing from "The City of the Roses", commonly known as Pasadena, California, Joey is
out to make his mark in this industry with his mix of self produced music, true-to-life
songwriting, and vivid storytelling ability.
From his time as one-third of the West Coast rap group "Durtee Unit" Joey has always
had a unique style which stood out amongst his peers.
So much so that he has been featured numerous times as a guest on the globally
syndicated radio show "The Wake Up Show." Impressing hosts King Tech and MTV’s
Sway to such a degree that he was featured on their 1999 Interscope release "This or
That" with the song "Clientele."
The exposure would eventually lead to the group to being featured on LA radio station
100.3 the Beat’s "Summerjam" concert series.
True to his West Coast Hip-Hop roots Joey Brown is also an accomplished freestyle and
battle champion.
As a veteran and staple in the Los Angeles underground music scene since the 1990’s,
Joey Brown has also been featured as the West Coast representatives
