Runaway

Written By: Joey Ciotti

Runaway

I can’t stand the days, that I’m away from you
And I change the way everybody tells me what they want me to do
And I can’t stand the way they look, or the way they look at me

Driving down this empty street, It’s not where I’m meant to be
All my life stuck in this place, I got to get myself free
And everybody that I meet, well their all laughing at me

Maybe we could run away
Maybe we could run away
Maybe we could run away, to anywhere but here

They say you’ve got to dream, and set your sights high
But this town is like a grave, all the dreams have died
And every time I take a step, it’s a dead end street to me

Maybe we could run away
Maybe we could run away
Maybe we could run away, to anywhere but here

Well I’ve packed my things, I’m set to go
I’ve left a farewell on my door, I want them all to know
That this simple minded place, aint good enough for me

Maybe we could run away
Maybe we could run away
Maybe we could run away, to anywhere but here

Maybe we could run away, to anywhere but here

Shiver

Written By: Joey Ciotti

Shiver

Can’t you hear me call, calling your name
Can’t you hear me call, calling for you

You make me a wreck, I want to lay down and bleed
You make me confused, I’m down on my knees
Tie me loose, let me breathe
This taste for you, is my disease

Shiver

You’ve got me in a corner your taste is so sweet
Each time I hear your name my heart skips a beat

Shiver

Can’t you hear me call, calling your name
Can’t you hear me call, calling your name

Shiver

You pump up my heart, you pump up the beat
You drive me insane, with this hold on me
Just give me a taste, set me free
You’re my addiction

Shiver make me shiver

The Fires still burning

Written By: Joey Ciotti

The fire’s still burning

A haunting story of a jail on the island of Dominican Republic, which housed one-hundred and twenty-five convicted and non convicted inmates, but was only built to hold twenty-five; a fire was started and no one came to put it out and all but a few burned to their death.

Please take this note I wrote, all about this life
behind these prison walls, where we’ve been left to die

The fire broke out in Vietnam, that’s our cell blocks name
so many bodies piled high, some still in flames

so take these words and make a change
this will be my purpose.

My reason to live, the truth that I might spread
about this world that’s been lost behind a lie
how many tears we have to shed
how many more have to die

There’s 89 dead and the fire’s still burning

Guns and drugs rule this place, there’s no justice here
Its hell on earth with no way out hopelessness and fear

Were jammed in this tiny room we can’t clear the door
nobody’s come to get us out, hallowed by thy name.

My reason to live, the truth that I might spread
about this world that’s been lost behind a lie
how many tears we have to shed
how many more have to die

There’s 120 dead and the fires still burning
