Lyrics

Alright In Time

Written By: Joey McGee

And so you’re here / here in this place
Caught in the confines of this prison
All around you the derision
Hear the sound / That mocking laugh
Go on give up all this trying
What’s the use with all this striving
Try to climb / That wall again
Adversity is there to meet you
Circumstance is there to greet you
Beat you down / no dream to dream
This overwhelming situation is impossible
Or so it seems

chorus:
Things will be alright in time
There’s no need to blow your mind
Things will turn out to be fine
Oh, ‘cause hope hides itself in different places at times
At different times

And now you’re here / Your day has come
Thank God the darkness is now fading
As your gray sky dissipates and fades to light
Sun on your face
It’s time to move there’s no more waiting
As you walk the path
And see the way

Dream

Written By: Joey McGee

Got me a revelation
The time for hesitation’s done
I’m packing my car with my
Two good guitars, yeah
And everybody’s sayin’, “Boy, you’re crazy!”
Me I think I’ve been too lazy far too long
Don’t think they understand
I really have no choice at all

There is nothing left to do
So I’m chasing after you . . . Dream

Am I scared? Well, yes I’m scared
This mad pursuit makes no sense at all
Before you run you gotta walk
Before you walk you gotta learn to fall

And there is nothing left to do
So I’m chasing after you . . . Dream

There is nothing left to do
So I’m chasing after you
There is nothing left to prove
So I’m chasing after you . . . Dream

We Live As One

Written By: Joey McGee

billy was a bear, he was a small brown bear
with a papa named ted and a mom named claire
and he lived in the woods where he rambled and roamed
in a big ole tree that he called his home

and he played all day
‘till the sun went away
and he dreamed of a time
when all would be fine
and we lived as one

rita was a rabbit with a quirky little habit
saw her hoppin’ on the trail with her bushy little tail
and she loved chasin’ bees and she loved eatin’ carrots
but she loved the most them wild strawberries

and she roamed all day
‘till the sun went away
and she dreamed of a time
when all would be fine
and we lived as one

there’s coming a time, gonna come real soon
and it could be april or it might be june
when the lion named judah gonna play with the lamb
and there’s gonna be peace all across this land

and we’ll roam all day ‘till the sun goes away
and we’ll live in a time when all will be fine
yes, we will roam all day ‘till the sun goes away
and we’ll live in a time when all will be fine

and we’ll live as one
we’ll live as one
we’ll live as one
we live as one

Day In The Life of A Girl

Written By: Joey McGee

She woke up in the morning with a smile on her face
Sang a hallelujah and amazing grace
Drew close to her lover for a warm embrace Smiled to herself and said, “you’ve got good taste!”

Ahh, Day in the Life of a Girl
Ahh, Day in the Life of a Girl

Went to Manhattan, caught the west-bound train
Stepped up on the sidewalk, and it started to rain
She had no umbrella: “aww man what a pain!"
Straightened out her black skirt and began to sing …

Ahh, Day in the Life of a Girl
Ahh, Day in the Life of a Girl

It’s just another day, it’s just another day in the life
She’s okay and she’s gonna work it out alright
It’s just another day, just another day in the life

It’s just another day, it’s just another day in the life
She’s okay and she’s gonna work it out just fine
It’s just another day, just another day in the life

Pop into the café for a tall latte
Add a bit of chocolate and whipped cream today
“This one’s on the house,” the barista said
Candid conversations, she was on her way

Ahh, Day in the Life of a Girl
Ahh, Day in the Life of a Girl

Love Is The Way

Written By: Joey McGee

once upon a time there was a world
where a woman and a man
roamed the earth in peace and harmony
side by side and hand in hand

change of season and the serpent came
spread delusion through the lie
man and woman in disharmony
strive to see through jaded eyes

chorus:
where love is the way
and the sunlight rules the day
where hurt and pain
are emotions never seen

traveling on this crazy road of life
sometimes it seems i’ve lost my way
stumbling through the darkness of the night
trying to see the light of day

where love is the way
and the sunlight rules the day
where hurt and pain
are emotions never seen (go to the bridge)

bridge:
where love, love, is the way
love, love, saves the day
love, love, is the way
love, love, saves the day (solo)

yes, love is the way
and the sunlight rules the day
where hurt and pain
are emotions never seen
where you and i
no longer live the lie
where hope is found
and we are no longer bound
