Johann van der Smut are an indie/ post-punk band from western germany.
They were found in 2008 by lead singer maximilian könig and drummer timm richter and completed half a year later with bassist johannes lange.
After writing songs for about 3 years, they took a break, found their own sound, wrote and recorded their debut album " Berg " in an old schools basement.
By now there are already two singles released from that ("23 Grad"/ 23th may // " Nach dem Nebel"/ 29th june) and plans are made for the album release & tour in autumn 2012.
