John Hassall & The April Rainers har været opvarmnings band til Johns Libertines bandkammerat Pete Doherty på Hackney Empire og Manchester Albert Hall i england. De er lige kommet tilbage fra deres egen promovering tur i england for deres nye album "Wheels to Idyll". Albummet blive beskrevet blandt andet som "A sprightly, Laurel Canyon-style bucolic rock voyage, with Hassall's hushed tenor voice cooing over CSN harmonies, wietful major-sevenths and Robbie Krieger-ish guitar explorations" af UNCUT magazine og "Hassall's tunefulness rarely misfires and the homely, nostalic charms never wear out their welcome" af MOJO. Singlen Intercity 125 blev playlisted på Radio X i england og var en af NMEs Radar - Tracks of The Week.
