John Sweet first picked up an acoustic guitar 28 years ago in hopes of impressing Angela, his would-be wife of 25 years and counting. Since then, he has played in a variety of venues ranging from restaurants, wineries and vineyards to festivals, weddings, private parties and church services. His love for music has inspired him to create a one of a kind sound that pulls on your heartstrings and compels you to embrace the moment.
John loves to arrange popular songs and give them a unique touch. He is often asked “what’s that song? It sounds so familiar”. This interaction from the audience speaks to part of what makes John’s music engaging and appealing.
John plays a wide range of familiar music ranging from Sinatra and Elvis to Zac Brown and Ed Sheeran. He offers something for everyone, whether you like oldies, show tunes, country, pop, classic rock, spirituals, or Motown. John specializes in providing a backdrop of acoustic ambience to events where people can both enjoy the music and carry on a conversation.
