"Hell yes."

"Hell yes. Swampy Southern Rock that shuffles its ass off, and doesn't get too jammy. Well, Jammy like a soul band, and The Allmans, not jammy like phish. Expect a raging set that splits the difference between tent revival and biker bar." -Reax Magazine - Reax Magazine

"Johnathan Appleseed"

"If you love Blues music then Johnathan Appleseed is the group for you. These 4 kids blend musically together. I am saying that once they hit the big stage their first single should be 'All That's Left'. From the lyrics the the music that song is by far #1 in my book. Johnathan Appleseed bad a busy year in 2007 by opening up for such acts as James McMurtry, Everybody Else, New Years Day, and a host of others. I hope that the year 2008 can be even bigger for this dynamic blues group."

“Hell yes. Swampy Southern Rock that shuffles its ass off, and doesn’t get too jammy. Well, Jammy like a soul band, and The Allmans, not jammy like phish. Expect a raging set that splits the difference between tent revival and biker bar.”
-Reax Magazine, Tampa, Florida

Johnathan Appleseed, the Florida native, swampedelic, rock and roll foursome, independently releases their third effort Travelin’ Tent Revival on April 20th 2010. The four young braves barely out of high school spent a year and a half in the making of the album, which is a 32 minute, 7- song confession of trial and tribulation, taking you on a psychedelic, up and down journey through their beloved south land. Travelin’ Tent Revival was recorded at Eclipse studios in St. Augustine, Fl and at Retrophonics Studio in Crescent Beach. The foursome credits themselves with production, mixing, and mastering with the help of engineer’s Jim Stafford and Jim Devito.
Starting as a one-man folk band, captained by young Journeymen Dane Vanness, Johnathan Appleseed has grown into a roots rock and roll force comprised of Dane, Kyle Taylor, Curtis Holton, and Chris Nanney. Plowing the field together for three years now, their influence, simply put, is life. They write about what they see, what they hear, what they feel, and who they are. They write about life, which everyone can relate to. Life is love.
The beauty of the album is it’s lack of specialized demographic, it’s an album young Beatles rock band playing high schoolers will love just as much as their classic rock loving parents. It’s an album to unite the generations.
I think what separates Johnathan Appleseed from other bands is their message “The Message of love: We Are All One!” The force of Creation brought the four of them together to make one Johnathan Appleseed, this same force has kept them together through thick and thin, teaching them new lessons with each new day. Together they are soldiers of love spreading truth seeds through music.
Thanks to Tim Hall two songs from the album have been receiving radio play on Jacksonville’s Planet Radio 107.3. With no label or financial support the boys are working on getting a spring/summer tour together and they could use all the help they can get.
